Cookie policy
Last updated: 10 October 2026
This policy explains how Barkaday Ltd ("Barkaday", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website (www.barkaday.com). It should be read with our privacy policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in the same way. Some are strictly necessary for a site to work or to remember a choice you have made. Others, such as analytics cookies, are optional, and under UK law we need your consent before using them.
Your choices
When you first visit, a small banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing optional is set, and Google Analytics does not load, unless you choose "Accept analytics". Rejecting has no effect on how the website works.
You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page, or here:
If you withdraw consent, we stop Google Analytics on this site and delete its cookies from your browser. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.

Services we use
Google Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC) to understand how visitors find and use our website, such as which pages are viewed, how long visits last, the referring website, and the type of device and browser used, so that we can improve our content. We have configured it for measurement only:
- advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation are turned off;
- Google Analytics 4 does not log or store your full IP address. Google uses it briefly to estimate your approximate location (for example, the city) and then discards it;
- we do not send your name, email address or form contents to Google Analytics;
- analytics data is retained for up to 14 months.
Google may process this data outside the UK. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google's privacy policy.
Vercel
Our website is hosted by Vercel Inc., which delivers pages to your browser and protects the site against abuse. Vercel processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to serve the site and keep it secure. It does not set analytics or advertising cookies on this website. If Vercel's security checks are triggered (for example, during an attack on the site), it may set a short-lived, strictly necessary cookie (_vcrcs) to record that your browser passed the check. See Vercel's privacy policy.
HubSpot
We use HubSpot, Inc. as our customer relationship management system. When you send us a health check request or a message, the details you provide are stored in HubSpot so we can respond and keep a record of our conversation (see our privacy policy). The HubSpot tracking code is not installed on this website, so HubSpot does not set cookies here.
If you use our meeting-booking link, you will be taken to a scheduling page hosted by HubSpot. HubSpot may set its own cookies on that page (for example __hstc, hubspotutk, __hssc and __hssrc) under HubSpot's cookie policy. If we add HubSpot tracking to this website in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
RiskBuddy
RiskBuddy, our security awareness and posture platform, is a trading style and product of Barkaday Ltd. This website does not set RiskBuddy cookies. When you visit or sign in to RiskBuddy at riskbuddy.io, RiskBuddy uses:
__riskbuddy_session: a strictly necessary cookie that keeps you signed in (14 days);- browser storage used by its sign-in provider to maintain your session securely;
- Google Analytics, to understand how the RiskBuddy website and platform are used.
These are described in the RiskBuddy privacy policy.
Links to other websites
Our website links to other sites, such as Microsoft and our security partners. Those sites set their own cookies under their own policies, which we do not control.
Changes to this policy
If we change the cookies we use, we will update this page and the date above. Where a change introduces a new optional cookie, we will ask for your consent again.
